Oil ministers of Sudan and South Sudan affirm increased production from Adariel Field

KHARTOUM, Jan 8 (BERNAMA-NNN-SUNA) -- Sudan's Oil Minister, Makawi Mohammed Awad, has revealed that the flow of oil from the Adariel oilfield in South Sudan and pumped through pipelines to Port Sudan on the Red Sea has been increased from 195,000 barrel to 200,000 barrels per day (bpd).

The Minister, who accompanied Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir on his recent visit to South Sudan, met his South Sudan counterpart, Stephen Diu Dau, in Juba last Sunday and reviewed with him issues of common interest in the oil sector.

He and his South Sudan counterpart had affirmed the sustainability of the flow of the South Sudan oil via the Sudanese oil infrastructure.
