Opinion US Court in Talisman case

The US Court of Appeals affirmed a lower court’s 2006 dismissal of the case of the Presbytarian Church of Sudan et. al against Canadian energy company Talisman. The Court wrote that the "Plaintiffs have provided evidence that the government violated customary international law, but they provide no evidence that Talisman acted with the purpose to support the government's offenses". Abyei Arbitration Final award rendered

The decision of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague on Sudan's contested Abyei oil region doesn’t follow the conclusion of the Abyei Boundary Commission of July 2005, ceding key oilfields (a.o. Heglig and Bamboo) and grazing lands to the north.
